The dental industry Innovation award was once again handed out at this month’s Finnish Dental Congress and Exhibition in Helsinki, Finland. The award and accompanying honorary mentions are given to companies or associations which have developed a product, service or technology in a way which has significantly improved treatment, patient safety or the working conditions of the dentist.
The first facial tissue transplant procedure in the history of the Nordic countries was performed earlier this year in the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) in Finland. Planmeca contributed to the demanding and rare operation, which was the 35th of its kind in the world to date.
